ILEA May Brunch

People crave connection, yet we don't always know how to facilitate meaningful interactions. Most networkers rush around the room asking others what they do while collecting business cards that end up in a file, pile, or the trash. In today's program, you'll learn 3 Magic Networking Formulas that will build your reputation and fill your Rolodex with prosperous connections you call friends!

Tim Shurr provides amazing Leadership keynotes and Mind-Mastery education programs that help people create extraordinary results by using the power of their mind to create their life by design. He's President of Shurr ! Success, Inc. and author of, Get Out of Your Way!

Behind the Scenes with Kari Strolberg

Introducing ILEA Indiana member Kari Strolberg, CSEP, is a board member for the SEARCH Foundation and will be briefly talking to us about SEARCH at the event! You won't want to miss the silent auction and wine pull benefitting the SEARCH Foundation. We will have some great items lined up for you. Keep reading for a behind the scenes interview with Kari!

What does your company do and what makes is different than others like it?

Detail + Design is a full-service event company.  We can manage your event or décor from concept to completion.  We do everything from social events, to corporate events, to weddings and festivals.  My role in the group is focused on helping not-for-profits create events that meet their fundraising goals and help get their mission out.

What lead you to your current career and how long have you been in the field?

I was a Ball State grad student in Public Relations and my Graduate Assistantship was in events – I fell in love with it and never looked back.  That was 25 years ago.

What is your most memorable event/project? Why?

I always say it is like my children – I can’t pick a favorite.  But that is also why I LOVE events.  Each event is different and unique and always keeps me on my toes.

What is one thing people do not know about you?

I was born and raised in Wisconsin, so I am a Cheesehead.  My favorite event to ATTEND is Milwaukee SummerFest.

If you were not in your current career, what would be your dream job?

Can’t imagine doing anything else.

Anything else we should know about you?

I have planned events in 18 states and 3 countries… and still trying to tick more off the list!

We hope you can join us on June 13th at the Hilbert Circle Theatre!
