We must plan, be prepared, understand how to protect our clients, their guests and our teams. Get ready to hear from a panel of speakers at the corporate, local, and federal level. What does your company do and what makes is different than others like it?

Indiana Grand Racing & Casino provides our guests with an outstanding experience featuring Dining, Racing, Gaming and Entertainment.  Indiana Grand is a beautiful facility conveniently located 20 minutes south of Indianapolis, and features the only live thoroughbred race course in Indiana and over 2,000 gaming positions.  The casino also houses several outstanding dining options including the Winner’s Circle Brew Pub and OTB and Center Cut – a premiere location for Steaks and Seafood.

What lead you to your current career and how long have you been in the field?

I initially “felt the calling” to a career in Law Enforcement around the age of 13.  I have been fortunate to serve in the Law Enforcement, Emergency Response and Private Security field for over 38 years.  This experience includes over 20 years with the Indiana State Police; 8 years as an elected Sheriff in Lagrange County, Indiana; 1 year as the state Director of the Emergency Response Division for the Indiana Department of Homeland Security and nearly 9 years as the Director of Security for Indiana Grand.

What is your most memorable event/project? Why?

I tremendously enjoyed my time spent as a Detective/Supervisor with the State Police, but the most gratifying time of my career included the 8 years serving as a Sheriff.  In this position, I was actively involved in the local community and had the ability to provide a positive impact on a daily basis.

What is one thing people do not know about you?

I am an avid reader…I love mysteries, conspiracies and action/adventure.

If you were not in your current career, what would be your dream job?

Being the drummer in Jimmy Buffet’s Coral Reefer Band.

Come meet Greg Dhaene at our October Luncheon on October 26, 2016 at 11:30 AM at Hotel Tango Artisan Distillery. Hope to see you there!
